After directing over 4,000 commercials and creating cyber-graphic opening sequences for television, Akira Hasegawa, a Japanese media artist, concentrated on inventing a new way of seeing and experiencing art, based on the Shinto and Buddhist love of Nature, the Ephemeral and the Oneness with the Universe. He called this new concept D-K.

Akira Hasegawa invented a “sensitizing instrument”, D-K, which lights up a large area of architectural or natural surroundings with projected random sequences of constantly moving, constantly changing abstract images (over 1 million created by Hasegawa) in colors of great brilliance and clarity which change at a very slow pace…as dawn or the setting sun…D-K Live. .

     Legendary San Francisco deep house label Amenti Music
     proudly presents its second release in the compilation
     series: “Destination”.
     Amenti Music has been at the forefront of the
     San Francisco deep house music movement
     for the past nine years,
     and has featured a long list of house luminaries including Mood II Swing, Charles Webster,
     Fred Everything, JT Donaldson, LawnChair Generals, Giom, and many others.
     The first compilation in the series, “Destination: San Francisco” was mixed by
     label head honcho Olivier Desmet, and garnered both critical and commercial success.
     The second compilation on offer here, “Destination: Tokyo” is mixed by none other than
     NEBU SOKU aka Kai and Megumilk of the legendary SOLID TOKYO club night.

     Nebu Soku have been essential figures in the house scene for years.
     Indeed, Kai Ishikawa and MEGUMILK have been key players in the Tokyo music
     scene with their world famous SOLID TOKYO party. Solid Tokyo has garnered a world-wide
     reputation as THE most respected deep house night in all of Japan. In the past ten years,
     they have DJed at Solid alongside top international talent including Fred Everything,
     DJ Heather, Diz, Raoul Belmans, Joshua IZ, Mark Grant, Joey Youngman, Johnny Fiasco,
     JT Donaldson, Miles Maeda, and many others. Nebu Soku made their production
     debut on Amenti in 2009 with the track “Wake Up”,
     which was included on the “Hey, I’m So Stylin! Vol 2” Sampler.

     Their DJ mix is a true deep house voyage that encompasses jazz, funk, and disco influences.
     The release also features a compilation of 14 unmixed house tracks
     that range from lovingly remastered classics to brand new dance floor jams.
